Special Notice From the Hampden Rifle and Pistol Club:

Riflemen,

I am forwarding this information for John Merrill of the Hampden R&P Club. John called me to say they have been granted 3 shoot dates for 2008. They are as follows:

Saturday, May 3     Buffalo Rifle Shoot

           Sunday,  Aug. 17    CAS

           Sunday,  Sept.  7    CAS

Buffalo Rifle Shoot:
If it rains on May 3 it will be a Silhouette type shoot with metal chickens, pigs, turkeys and rams at 50, 100, 150 and 200 yards, shot from under the Club's covered shooting station. John says the animal will have to be knocked down to count for score. John says the entry fee will be $15 and no lunch provided. May arrive around 8:30, no shooting until after 9AM.
If it's a good day on May 3 it will be a paper target shoot at 200 and 300 yards. The 200 yard shoot would be done from a sitting position and may use crossed sticks. The 300 yard shoot would be done from either prone or sitting positions and may use crossed sticks. Same fee and no lunch as stated above. Same time as above.
I must make it clear that this is John's shoot and I don't know a bit more about it than I have just stated. I told John that because I have a mailing list for the Gong Shoots held at the Blue Hill Range, I would get the word out for him. If you are interested and want more information, you will need to call John at 207-269-4570. You now know what I know.

CAS Shoots:
   Lunch might be provided.

Stay tuned, more information will be forthcoming. You may also contact the following:
